Overview

Reporting to the Head of Product Management, you will be a core member of the ClearPass PM team. ClearPass is an industry leading enterprise network and security Policy Management solution that includes NAC and Guest Access capabilities.

 

As a product manager in the ClearPass team, you will be responsible for improving functionality and marketability of existing products, and help address new market opportunities based on your industry experience. You will be assume ownership of taking a product or a feature from conception, definition through launch.  You must be versatile with a good blend of business acumen and technical savvy, quick learner with the ability to shoulder new responsibilities in a dynamic environment. A passion for excellence coupled with a big-picture vision, and the energy, drive and work ethic to make that vision a reality will be highly valued.

 

You will work with customers and your engineering counterparts to define product requirements. You will work with marketing teams to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers.

Responsibilities

  • Help drive product strategy and road-map for the next generation of Aruba ClearPass, including platform architecture, usability and manageability.
  • Work with a cross functional team to proactively identify “whole product/solution” gaps, define market requirements, and drive eco system partnerships.
  • Work closely with product marketing to develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan.
  • Engage with customers and the field to evangelize our solutions, support sales efforts and gather requirements for product enhancements
  • This position could require some amount of travel (~20%).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, technical marketing or systems engineering role.
  • Hands on experience with developing PRDs/MRDs and the ability to groom a feature backlog based on multiple competing customer, competitive and strategic considerations 
  • Demonstrable expertise in networking and/or security.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise network and security architectures and use cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as polished presentation style as this role requires customer interaction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with prior experience in collaborating with various stakeholders within Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, Finance and other functions
  • A BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent is highly desired; MBA a big plus
